From his daughter, Dakota:
“My dad was a one of a kind man. He was the strongest man I know. He would give the shirt off his back to anyone that needed it. Then one day he received some of the hardest news someone can hear- he had cancer. We knew it was going to be a challenge, but he was so strong he faced it head on and never gave up.
This all started with him getting a tooth pulled. He started feeling weaker, more tired, and bruising easily. He got his diagnosis on October 9, 2024- he had acute myeloid leukemia. My dad received a bone marrow transplant on March 19, 2025 after several rounds of chemotherapy. He faced complication after complication following his transplant but still never gave up. We then got the dreaded news that his cancer had returned.
I lost my Dad on July 4, 2025. Although he is missed dearly, he is rejoicing looking over my mom and me. He went through so much in such a short time but always had a positive attitude. I encourage anyone that is going through or has been through this to stay strong in the faith.”
